GRANTS AWARDED

​Thus far, the Board of Directors of the Treasure Trove Giving Circle have awarded twenty  grants to C-FC for the 2021-2025 school years, as follows:

​

1. Back to School Picnic Event (2021): Funding of $1,020 for signs, decorations and prizes for the Back to School Picnic event held on August 25, 2021. The event was well-attended and kicked off the new school year in a warm and welcoming way!

2. New Teachers/Staff Swag (2021): Funding of $750 for C-FC Pirate-themed hats, bags and cups to provide a hearty welcome to new staff and allow them to show their Pirate Pride!

3. New State Champions Sign (2021): Funding of $1,080 to replace the weathered State Champion Cross Country sign with an update state champions sign. The sign was designed to accommodate state championship information for athletics and other school-sponsored activities.

4. Sensory Space Kit (2021):  Funding of $331 to provide sensory items for a K-3 special education classroom to provide for the students' sensory needs so they are better able to focus, regulate their emotions and learn. Items purchased included such items as a wobble chair, sensory sand, weighted blanket and therapy putty.

5. Small Engines Training Kit (2021): Funding of $3,870 for 10 identical, brand new engines and parts, special tools and resource manuals to cover everything from engine theory and operation to troubleshooting. The kits will enable students to receive high quality, science-based and hands on instruction which will, in turn, encourage them to explore high paying, high demand careers in the outdoor power equipment industry.

6. Voter Education and Registration (2021): Funding of $175 to provide refreshments for a voter education and registration event for C-FC Seniors by the League of Women Voters.

7. STEM Shuttle Field Trip (2022): Funding of $650 to partially fund a second day visit for the Dream Flight USA STEM Shuttle, which is a bus painted to look like a space shuttle in which students in grades 4-6 were able to complete STEM learning activities at space-themed learning stations.

8. Back to School Picnic Event (2022): Funding of $376.28 for decorations and prizes for the Back to School Picnic event held in August of 2022.

9. Homecoming Carnival Sign (2022): Funding of $141.60 for a large welcome sign for the 2022 Homecoming Carnival, which made a very successful comeback after a several year hiatus, thanks to Ms. Fischer, the C-FC Family and Consumer Science Education Teacher.

10. Regional Aquaculture Conference (2023): Funding of $720 for the registration fees to allow 8 junior high school students to attend the North Central Regional Aquaculture Conference in Eau Claire.  The conference was an educational enhancement for the students who had completed an independent project of building an aquaponics system after learning about it from a junior high science student teacher.

11. PBIS High School Reward Trip (2023):  Funding of $690 to fund a trip to Bruce Mound Winter Sports Area to reward high school students who had maintained acceptable grades and demonstrated positive behavior.

12. Graduation Coins (2023): Funding of $595.00 for graduation coins for graduating seniors to give to a person of their choice during graduation to recognize that person's inspiration and support to the growth and education of the graduate.

13. Lock & Dam and Boat Tour for Math Students (2023): Funding of $526 for 11th and 12th grade math students to tour the lock and dam by boat and learn about water flow, Pascal's law and gravity as well as a tour of the inside of the lock and dam facility.

14.Math Stackers (2023): Funding of $1,617 for Math Stacker foam blocks for three kindergarten and two 1st grade classes to provide a fun and interactive way to learn math skills. 

15. Tool Storage for Technology Education Department: Funding of $1423.99 to purchase rolling tool chests as part of a makeover of the tool storage room for the Welding, Metalworking and Small Engine Area.

16. Math Stackers for Special Ed (2023): Funding of $420 for Math Stacker foam blocks for the Special Education Room.

17. Read Across America Speaker (2024): Funding of $300 for Guest Speaker, Brian Richards, for Read Across America Week.

18. Brewers Math Day (2024): Funding of $820 for the Applied Math Class to Attend Math Day at the Brewers stadium.

19. Augmented Reality Sandbox (2025): Funding of $2,200 for a 3D interactive augmented reality sandbox to be used by multiple grade levels in science instruction.

20. Graphing Calculators (2025): Funding of $1,000 for graphing calculators for students to use in taking the ACT.
